How do I split a movie clip into parts, and save them as separate files?

Hi, I'm trying to split an mp4 into different parts, and save each part as a separate file, so that I can upload them to youtube. I have been using AVS editor, and have divided the clip up into parts, but I don't know how to save the parts as separate files. Can someone please walk me through this? How do I split a movie clip into parts, and save them as separate files?
You need to change your output file within the AVS software, then just choose desktop, then each one as it is saved will show up on your desktop. How do I split a movie clip into parts, and save them as separate files?

I hope this may help you.
Do a search for ';video splitter'; (or replace the word ';video'; with the type of video file) at www.download.com and you will come with lots of programs to choose from.

Choose a freeware and install it. They are usually very user-friendly.
