How do you split a movie into pieces then save those individual pieces onto your computer with Sony Vegas 9?

its my first time using vegas and im totally lost. i know how to import stuff but thats about it. i wanted to post a movie on youtube but its like an hour and a half long. i obviously cant post it as 1 part so i have to cut it into 10 minute segments. how do i split the movie into segments then save those 10 minute segments on my computer to post on youtube without opening a totally new project? How do you split a movie into pieces then save those individual pieces onto your computer with Sony Vegas 9?
Well, this isn't really what Vegas is for, but you can do it quite easily. With the default tool selected (press CTRL+D to select it), click and drag across a section of the timeline so it's highlighted. This is a ';loop region';. The yellow triangles denote the start and finish points. Then when you go to render the video check the ';render loop region only'; box. Once it's doen, bot back and select a different region and so on.

If you want precise control of the start and finish points, use markers. Move to where you want to split the video and click on the timeline. Then press ';m'; to insert a marker. The loop selection tool will naturally snap to these markers so you can more accurately select your regions.
