I need to learn how to do them in a months time because cheer/pom tryouts are coming up in a month!!! I am not flexiable at all! Plz help!How can I learn to do the splits in a short amount of time?
practice and stretch for a few hours everyday, but i think you're outta luck, my mom was on the drill team and she says it's impossible to learn it in less than a yearHow can I learn to do the splits in a short amount of time?
wow. ok had your problem. here is what to do:
1. You may not think about it but hamstrings are a big part of splits. Do touch your toes exercises to help.
2. Lunges will dramatically help your splits! make sure that your knee does not go further than your toes though!
( also do backwards lunges : weight is on back leg )
3. Put your leg on top of a surface and bend to try and put your head to your knee. Yes this is difficult if you are not flexible but it will get better over time. ( keep your back straight or it is not effective )
4. After you stretch every day hold your split ( as far as you can go with your arms holding you up on the sides ) for approximately 10 seconds ( 1 mississippi 2 mississippi etc. ) You can increase time if you are really up to it.
By doing all these things every day, I got my splits in about 3 weeks but I was always kind of flexible. Well, Good Luck!

We were told to lie on the floor put your butt against the wall and keep splitting your legs over and over until you stretch out the muscles. Then over time you should be able to get up and split down to the floor. It takes a few stretches so be careful.
Practice them everyday, a few times a day. Try to stand up and lift your leg as high you can on both legs. Just keep doing splits at any chance u get and ask a friend for help.
Well try running or excersizing and then stretching really good afterwards. Thats the best way to increase flexibility
