Can a covered humbucker pickup still be split into two coils?

I want to Install the Seymour Duncan p-rails pickups on a les Paul and put a hole-less pickup cover on it, but I still want to be able to split the coils.Can a covered humbucker pickup still be split into two coils?
P rails cannot be able to split up on coils
