How can I split a file of over 80 minutes to record it to an 80 minute cd?

I don't know if my software will burn to media with over an 80 minute capacity. I'm using Windows Media Player to burn my CDs.How can I split a file of over 80 minutes to record it to an 80 minute cd?
There's a full-featured audio editor, that's free, called ';Audacity.';

You could snip 6 minutes off, here and there, to make it 74 minutes.

If you just want a quick fix, there's more than a few mp3 splitters on download.com Find one with a trial for a few days that will let you cut off part of the file, or split it up, and delete one or two of them. Search mp3 splitter on download.comHow can I split a file of over 80 minutes to record it to an 80 minute cd?

WMP should tell you that you are over the capacity that the CD can hold, just uncheck some track and bring it down to the capacity that the CD can handle
