My big toe has little slices on the under side. They seemed to start after spending a week in my sister-in-law's pool. Can anyone tell me what causes this to happen and how to treat it. It also has happened to my wife and her sister.What causes the big toe to split on the bottom?
It is caused by dry skin. It is very simple to get rid of, just put lotion on every night before bed and it will heal itself. If you fail to do this it can become painful because it will get deeper and look like a cut. If this happens the treatment is the same.
