They're all good and touch mostly upon the same things. The last link is pretty good though because it has some visual aid (even if it is stick figures!) Like I said before, it's really all about stretching every day/night, and making it a routine in your daily life.

It took me about a week when I was about 12 to teach myself the splits,,2 to 3 times a day..I would slowly go down into the splits,this was sideways splits could always do the left leg out first better...everyday force yourself to go down closer to the floor,until one day your all the way down...now the Chinese splits straight out to the sides,I never accomplished.Wish I could still do that...it's harder I think for guys than girls...wear loose pants...or shorts.
It takes a lot of practive but um slowly get in a relaxing position but before that you need to be able to take a lot of pain. Do that then slowly make your legs wider and slowly more and more. Keep on doing till it pains too much then try it some other time. Keep on going and you'll be able to do it!
