If you could go back in time and prevent the splitting of the atom...?

If you could go back in time and prevent the splitting of the atom forever would youIf you could go back in time and prevent the splitting of the atom...?
Yes I would, I stop the atom ever being split and make sure that it never ever is.

Man is not ready for this kind of power, the power to destroy every living thing on the planet, the power to ignite our very atmoshere and poison the earth for millions of years.

With all of the tin pot, loony dictators that are now nuclear armed and free with the technology, how long do you think it is going to be before some fundamentalist terrorist puts an nuclear device in a suitcase and goes to town.

We should all go and live in the desert and develope solar and wind energy.

Nuclear is to dangerous for humans no matter what the supposed benefits it creates a radioactive waste that is deadly to all life forms for thousands of years.

Every country in the world that has gone nuclear is sat on thousand and thousands of tons of nuclear waste that they do not know what to do with and the problem will only get bigger.

Yes I would stop the atom from being split and do mankind a great big favour. If you could go back in time and prevent the splitting of the atom...?
Why would I wanna kill myself and everyone else too?
It would save a lot of innocent people in Japan and some people still suffer from the effects of that and it would prevent america to become the bully of the world

So in the one hand yes,,, but in the other hand ,,,no we need power to develop

Coal is more harm full than that in the long run
Definitely no, firstly despite the growing number of nuclear warheads, the lessons of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the only time they have ever been used in anger, has meant peace in Europe for over sixty years.

The allies killed more people in Berlin, Hamburg and Dresden than both the A bombs did together, with common old garden ordinary bombs.

Also, in bringing WW2 to a decisive end, who knows how many thousands of lives it actually saved.

Secondly, look at all the benefits that atomic power has brought us, there's not enough room here to mention them all.
No. Same reason I wouldn't prevent the Holocaust. We needed to learn from Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
No. The technology is too valuable for progress, and the good that comes from that action far outweighs the bad. Remember, not only technology like reactors and weapons have been developed but medical technology as well.
Sure. I'd also go back in time and stop the invention of the wheel, the printing press and radio while I was at it.
